Plastic Surgery in Prague. About Europa International. Taking patients to Prague since 1996
The Europa concept was borne out of John and Libby’s connections with the Czech Republic. Libby being Czech born, and John in the U.K.
They were actually married in Prague February 28th 1970 before moving to Britain to live.
Since then, they have travelled between the two countries many hundreds of times.
John is able to speak Czech and understand well the culture and mentality of the people. Conversely, Libby can claim all of this in reverse. So it works quite well.
This was the year Europa International was founded.
Back in those days, it was entering totally uncharted waters.
It was John and Libby’s idea. However, friends and business associates all suggested the idea was crazy.
Plastic surgery in Prague. It was seen by many of John and Libby’s friends as bonker. In those days, mainly due to stigmas relating to the communist era nobody in their wildest imagination would ever consider going to Prague for cosmetic surgery. Nothing much has changed in attitudes since then, but it is today a massively popular destination for cosmetic surgery. But persuading the Brits it is still a tough task to sell.
John was lucky enough to find a book entitled “Atlas of Plastic Surgery” which was written by the “Father” of Plastic Surgery the Czech “Frantisek Burian.” He waded through 3 massive volumes eagerly devouring as much information as he could.
Today his name and Czech cosmetic surgery often appear on the web. John would like to think in all modesty they played a small part here!
Their experience covers every aspect of electing cosmetic surgery in Prague.
The pre-op nerves, the outcome, as well as what to expect. Such as the extent of Post-op bruises, swollen faces and tummies, and one side healing quicker than the other. All gained from 20 years associated with the industry.
Also, this long experience has given them the ability to be able to fairly accurately judge beforehand what the aesthetic improvements are likely to be. Take for example facelifts they can say with certainty an oval-shaped face pulls up better than a round face. Loose thin skin pulls up better than oily skin. If a person does not have a loose neck area then the improvements will not be so dramatic.
Our surgeon recently stated that we are probably the most knowledgeable lay- medical/cosmetic surgery advisors to be found anywhere.
We mention all the above not to in any way boost personal egos, but to reassure you that you are in the hands of professionals.
This coupled with Libby having actually “walked the walk” the results are there to see.
We are not of course at any stage suggesting a formal consultation with the surgeon is not required, it is!!
Today Prague is synonymous with cosmetic surgery, although people are still very dubious about travelling anywhere abroad.
