Hi John,
Jay-Jay here!! Just got back from Prague and I felt I should write to tell you how pleased I am with your after-care service. As you know my implant after a few months on one side became mis-shaped. I went along to my local hospital here in Luton and they informed me that the implant was leaking in two places. Not only that, they took great glee and delight in tellng me this, especially as I had the procedure done abroad. There were mumblings of… “well what do you expect when you go abroad for cheap surgery!!”
In the light of this information I took the plunge and asked for your assistance. To be honest, I thought you might not be at all interested and simply adopt an attitude of “well we had your money..so go away” No.. not at all, your were as concerned as I was, and reported to the surgeon what had apparently happened. He immediately remarked that he felt it highly unlikely that the implant had ruptured as it was made of “cohesive gel” and the only time he had experienced a rupture, was as a result of severe impact such as a car crash. He immediately invited me to return to the clinic and very fairy agreed to re-operate free of charge, less genuine expenses of the anaethetist, and a new medical. Not only that you agreed to collect me from the airport and return me afterwards and allowed myself and my boyfriend to stay at your apartment free of charge . You were also around for us, and even took us to lunch.
As you know when the surgeon examined me including sending me for an “ultrasound” the implant had not ruptured at all. It had in fact rotated, thus causing the strange appearance. The implant was manipulated back into position, and the surgeon arranged some tight bandaging to hold it in place which I am still wearing. He was very dignified, and did not criticise my local hospital at all. He did however say that it could perhaps move again, and if so, it would have to come out and be replaced. Apparently it’s all to do with complex scar tissue, and occasionally it can happen…. no fault of anybody’s.
I know this is the first time for Europa that someone has had to return to your clinic with a breast implant problem, and it might seem like a negative. But the real test of service is when there is a problem!! On all counts you “stood up” and was there for me!!
Regards,
Jay-Jay
